|Description:||As detailed in Signalling Notice NRSET No.4 – 2009, the section of the single line between new locations named
Axminster East Jn. (143M. 21chs.) and Axminster West Jn. (146M 05chs) will be replaced by double track, with
both lines signalled for bidirectional
Also, at Axminster station, a new platform will come into use on the north side of the line for the new track.
The line between Chard Junction (exclusive) and Honiton (exclusive) will have new signalling introduced,
controlled from Chard Junction signal box.
The existing signals associated with Axminster MCB (CCTV) Level Crossing, together with Axminster Crossing
Control Room, will be recovered, and control of the level crossing will be transferred to Chard Junction signal
